W O O L – Pure Nature
As done for thousands of years wool is a cunning natural fiber that is harvested by sheering the sheep without harming the animal; only wool harvested this way can be called “Pure New Wool”. Recycled wool cannot use this trade-protected name. GEIGER only uses pure new wool in its products.
Equipped with highly sophisticated sheering tools a well trained sheering pro can sheer about 300 sheep a day. The fleece – the sheet of connected wool fibers which the sheering process produces – then gets separated and gently washed. The gentle treatment of this special fiber as well as the gentle care of the finished garment is the key. This prolongs the life span of the fiber, which ensures lasting comfort wearing this marvelous piece of nature.
